March Newsletter of the Northeast Region 2001
Here we are and its the 1st of March already. If only spring would peek its head out, we could all get our spirits up a little. Many of you have been doing some great things already. I cant wait till spring and summer come to see all of you at full speed!
Great job, Northeast Region!! For the second month in a row we increased the number of Jaycees in our region. That means we now have more friends to meet, more ideas, and more people to help with those big projects coming up. Keep up the good work and keep growing. Here is a list of the big performers for the month of February.
Some deadlines are approaching very soon. All chapters and District Directors, your Blue Chip submissions are due April 1. If you have any questions, contact your District Director or contact me. It is very important to do this. It will help your chapters to be more successful.
Another very important date is fast approaching. The first Northeast Regional Rally of 2001 is on March 17. It will be held in Garretson at the Legion Hall. The Rally starts at 3:30 PM. Garretsons Outstanding Young banquet and dance is afterwards. They have invited all of us to attend. There is an $8 cost (or $7 if you wear green) and you must RSVP to Brent Lindemann by March 7 if you plan to attend the OY banquet and dance. His phone number is 594-8810. More information will be in the March State Mailing.
On April 6,7, & 8, the North Central Institute (NCI) meeting is in Deadwood. This is a very big "regional states meeting". There will be some great training and possibly a National Jaycee Presidential debate. Also, it will be a great opportunity to meet people from other states and learn how they do things in their chapters. The Northeast Region is responsible hospitality on Friday night. Basically we will be bartending for a while that night. If youre interested in attending this event, ask your DD or call me.
Also, dont forget March closeout! It is on Thursday, March 29. Dont forget to call in your new members, any last minute March renewals, and your early April renewals. Get all of your membership activities taken care of early so its not so stressful at the end of the month!
In closing, I would like to thank all of you for your commitment to your communities and to the Jaycees this year. Together we will make the Northeast Region the BEST Region in the state. Feel free to call me for help or if you have any questions. If I cant help, I can find someone who can!
